Dade City to Reopen Lobby and Reinstate Utility Fees

The City prioritizes reopening in a safe manner for the protection of our residents and employees.  The City Hall Municipal Building will re-open to customers on Monday, July 6, with some restrictions and limited capacity.  At that time, late fees and other fees will be reinstated for utility customers.

As the City resumes normal operations, customers may continue and are encouraged to use our no contact payments options. Effective July 6, customers will be responsible for convenience fee charges by the credit card processor for paying on-line or over the phone.  For your convenience, the drop box is available for non-cash payments.  Payments may also be mailed to PO Box 1355, Dade City, FL 33526. 

Effective July 6, late fees will be reinstated for missed payments.  Effective August 1, turn-offs for nonpayment will resume.

As required by the recently adopted Pasco County executive order mandating face coverings in all businesses and government buildings, all persons entering the lobby will be required to wear a face covering at all times unless the visitor is exempt from wearing a face covering under the Pasco County executive order. All visitors must observe social distancing guidelines of at least six (6) feet. Visitors to the building will not be allowed to remain in the lobby unless conducting business.

Hand-sanitizing stations are located at the customer service windows for customer use. City staff regularly sanitizes points of contact areas.  We ask that customers wishing to meet with specific staff in person request an appointment, but walk-in customers are allowed. Residents can do so by calling 352-523-5050 and be directed to the department needed.
As conditions and further guidance develops, the City will make any necessary adjustments for the safety of our staff, our residents, and our community.  Florida is experiencing a substantial increase in COVID-19 cases, so the City will be reassessing the City’s decision to reopen City Hall on a daily basis.  If a need arises to close the building again to protect residents and employees, another media release will be issued.
