Recycling Information - Central Carting Disposal offers a recycling program. Recycling material must be placed in the blue bins to differentiate between trash and recyclables.  These bins are provided by Central Carting.  The blue bins will be picked up every Wednesday.

DIVISION SUMMARY
Mowing, landscaping, litter removal and irrigation maintenance for City facilities, parks and the City cemetery.

MAJOR DIVISION FUNCTIONS
  1. Mowing of all city properties, including parks, right-of-ways, parks lot areas, perc ponds, etc.
  2. Litter removal from all such properties.
  3. Landscaping (planting, fertilizing, chemical treatment) and irrigation of all parks, rights-of- way, medians, and City cemetery.
  4. Planting and maintenance of memorial trees on City rights-of-way.
  5. Rental of City buildings/parks to citizens.


CITY PARKS & FACILITIES
WATSON PARK - Restrooms, softball field, multipurpose field, two basketball courts, eight picnic tables under pavilion (six tables throughout the park), and playground equipment. Park located between 17th and 19th Streets on North Ave. and Main Ave.

PRICE PARK - Restrooms, playground equipment, two racquetball courts, picnic tables under pavilion (two tables throughout the park), barbecue grill, & two tennis courts. Park located between 11th and 12th Streets on Meridian Ave.

PYRACANTHA / NAOMI JONES – Restrooms, playground equipment, pavilion with eight picnic tables (two tables throughout the park), two basketball courts, volleyball net, and barbecue grill. Park located at 38122 Martin Luther King Blvd.

MICKENS FIELD - Softball field, restrooms. Located on the corner of Taylor Ave. and Canal St.

HIBISCUS PARK - Picnic tables. Located at South 7th St. and Bougainvillea Ave.

POLLY TOUCHTON - Picnic tables. Located between 5th St. & 7th St. and Bougainvillea Ave. & Southview Ave.

DIVISION SUMMARY
Maintenance of approximately 40 miles of streets both paved and unpaved, associated sidewalks, provide curb maintenance and repairs, tree maintenance, and streets sweeping.

MAJOR DIVISION FUNCTIONS
  1. Provide maintenance of City Streets, sidewalks, curbs, including brick, asphalt paved and dirt. Provide for all street markings, signs, and street lights.
  2. Provide maintenance for storm drains and storm water lift stations.
  3. Provide all tree maintenance on City properties including parks and right-of-ways.
  4. Provide all street sweeping for entire city.
